Life before Linux was totally comsumed by Windows. By all and any version. I began life with DOS on a 486 machine. That become a Pentium 120 and Windows 3.11. Which turned into a Pentium 500 and Windows 95 and eventually 98 on the same PC. Finally i made it to Windows XP on the computer currently sitting at home, an Athlon XP 2700+.

Windows wasnt the best operating system. Never has been perfect. Then again I can’t honestly say I think linux was ever or ever will be perfect either. That debate is beyond this blog. I don’t want to get into the flame wars over Linux vs. Windows. I’m here to discuss my transistion and what i’ve learned, about Linux, and about Windows.
