When I was in school I was always told “Don’t worry, one day you’ll want to do this.” Luckily for me they were right. I eventually grew to love school er… I grew to love learning. Either way though I still struggle with the idea of teaching myself things. I’ve actually posted on this before, but this isn’t a rehash. I’ve decided to change things. Right now the economy sucks and if I suck that means that one more thing will suck. We don’t need anymore sucking around here. Trust me. So I’m going to teach myself a programming language. Well, that’s sort of a lie, I already “know” it. But I won’t a better understanding of it. So I’ve picked a project written in that language and I’m going to study my butt off.
GOAL: Contribute at least one patch to the project, in it’s primary language, and have it accepted by the end of 2009.
Note that the project and language will remain anonymous at this point. No need to embarrass myself quite yet.
Enjoy the Penguins!
